Fishing & Angling Venues in Enniskellen, Lisnaskea
The Kilbrackan Arms Hotel
Carrigallen is at the heart of the lake systems of the Midlands of Ireland. Major lakes and lakes not-so-well-known, are within a few minutes of the hotel. Coarse fishing is the specialty and Bream, Rudd, Roach, & Pike are plentiful. Game fishing is catered for by the local Angling Club, for which the visitor can become a day-member for Euro15. Calloughs Lake, a mile outside the town, is stocked yearly with both Brown & Rainbow Trout. The hotel annually co-hosts the King of Clubs, & stena line challenge Angling Festivals with great success, both from a fishing and entertainment point of view, with many anglers re-booking on departure. Almost 4 tonnes of fish was caught over a four day period by 100 anglers during the recent king of clubs. Local Lakes include: Town lake, Calloughs, Cullies, Garadice, Glasshouse, Kilnamar, Errew, Gulladoo & Gowna. Lough Allen & Lough Oughter are also within a short distance. (Click on any of the aforementioned for further details). Many rivers and canals are also favoured locally. The water around Carrigallen, from the upper reaches of the great River Erne system, five miles to the west and south, are a host of fresh water lakes and rivers which empty into the Shannon. These are two of the greatest coarse fishing complexes in Europe, unpolluted and vastly unspoiled.
